FAQs

How does the smashed-glass mezuzah process work?
After you place your order, you’ll receive shipping instructions within 24 hours. These include my studio address and tips on how to safely package your glass. Once I receive it, I process the glass and create your mezuzah—this takes about 8–12 weeks from the date the glass arrives. If you need it sooner, a $32 rush option is available.

Do you provide the glass to smash at the wedding?
No—the mezuzah does not come with glass to smash. You provide the glass from your own wedding chuppah. If you don’t have one yet, I offer glass for purchase separately.

Can you work with any type of glass?
Yes. I can create a mezuzah from almost any glass, even lightbulbs, as long as it can be safely processed. It doesn’t have to come from me.

Will my mezuzah look like the pictures online?
Each mezuzah is bespoke—made from the exact glass you send. It’s nearly impossible for any two smashed-glass pieces to look the same. The photos online are samples to show style and craftsmanship, not exact replicas. The final look depends on your glass’s color, texture, and condition, as well as whether it needs to be further crushed during processing.

Additionally, every mezuzah is handmade using resin, which can create slight variations and natural imperfections. These subtle differences are part of the handcrafted charm and make each piece truly unique—perfectly imperfect, just like art should be.

Does it include a scroll?
Yes. Each mezuzah comes with a non-kosher scroll, which you can remove and replace with a kosher scroll if you wish—the back is open for easy access.

How do I mount the mezuzah?
It comes ready to install with 3M adhesive tape and can be used indoors or outdoors.

How long will it take to receive my mezuzah?
Standard timeline is 8–12 weeks from the day your glass arrives at my studio. Rush orders are available for $32 if you need it by a specific date.
